Title: Girard Awning seal
Post by: Charlieboise on January 15, 2024, 05:59:02 pm
03 U320 girard 2000 awning.

Needed to be resealed as water was running down the side of the coach.

Once I got up there to take a closer look it became evident the silicone sealant had not adhered nearly as well to the butyl seal as it had to the paint.  I was able to pull the entire seal out without tearing it.

Anyone else had to rework this seal and what did you use?

I'll post my sealer later today.
I have found leaks at:
Coffin box screws
Ladder screws
Ac box
Both caps
Horn area

I have used that on home exterior projects and it's the real deal.

Wondering if it will adhere well over time with the soft butyl weather strip though.
