Title: New IC37 owner here
Post by: Fredbrew2 on January 29, 2024, 11:06:39 pm
Hello, I'm new here. I just bought a 2020 IC-37. I'm looking forward to connecting with other Foretravel owners, especially IC-37 owners, if there are any.

Is there such a thing as a Foretravel owner's manual? Mine didn't come with one and it is difficult to figure out how everything works.

Not sure about the IC's, but prior Foretravels came with an entire box of manuals for all the subsystems and an owner's manual with schematics.

Many of those older owner's manuals are in the Media section of the forum

https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?media/album/foretravel-owners-manuals.449/

You might reach out to Foretravel and see if you can at least buy an owner's manual for your coach.  The subsystem ones are often available online from the different vendors.

Yes.
It's required that all new members post pictures of their rig.

Call Foretravel Parts. They will be able to get you a pdf with all of the drawing that were used to build coach. I am thinking it costs around $150.00 or more to get everything.

Thanks everyone. I have found most (not all) of the manuals for the different systems, online. I'm looking for a general manual for the coach overall. Things like how to use the heat, A/C, inverter, water pump, and awnings. How to dump and clean the waste tanks, fill the water tank and what all the unlabeled switches do. How to lower the shades, use the retarder, find the gray water bypass, and what is the RV-C switch for. How to use the electric sunshades, ATC, and battery boost. Unfortunately, since there are only a handful of iC37 owners out there, I have found anyone I can ask. I'll email Foretravel again.

I know it's a long shot, but any chance you could contact the last owner? Is there any paperwork/bills that would have their name on them?

Your coach has everything wired together. RV-C buss is what everything is connected to .  When you go  to turn a light on, a message is put on the buss that you are wanting to turn on a certain light. When the light module sees that it needs to turn on it then turns on the light.  Same goes with shades, water pump and it goes on and on.  I am not sure how far it goes in your coach but the big ones just about everything (maybe everything) is on this bus.  The switch is when something starts being wacky you can flip this RV-C switch and it will kill power to all, or almost all of the modules. This causes the system to reboot and hopefully fix the problem you were having.

If you have a question about something ask it and there is a good chance someone else has the same system and can answer your question . It looks like lots of your questions are just RV basic's that a lot will be able to answer.  I am not sure if you should ask them here or just make a new thread with your questions.

You do need to go in your profile and put your coach information there. That way when you ask a question everyone knows what coach you have.

Thanks everyone for all the tips. Foretravel parts/service sent me the manual for my coach. Answered lots of my questions.
