2019 ih. Water from shower/sinks/washing machine will not drain. According to the factory, the cause is a failed Grey Water Bypass valve. This valve sits on top of the waste tank. The factory says to remove the stainless panels in the wet bay to gain access to the bad valve which, like the main dump valve, can be manually operated. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and found that access from the passenger side behind the Manablock controls would be better.
If setup is anything like 2014 ih, both black and bypass are only accessible from drivers side. When you press the bypass switch, what happens?
Thanks Turbo. As you said, access is only from drivers side. The valve does not respond electrically to any control. Now that I've started to remove the side panel I can see the valve but need to remove a bit more so I can reach the manual control. Real big PITA.
You will be the first that I have heard that the motor has died and not the gears. When I and others had a problem with the valves it was the motor would run but the valve would not open or close. Good part is both of ours failed with the valve open.
You are aware you will be able to take the allen wrench that is fasten to the valve and us it to open the valve? Before you replace the valve might make sure that you have power to it and switch is not bad or wire has slipped off the switch.
Below is information for the value you have. I called and make sure I was ordering the correct one.
