Title: Aqua Hot - finally resolved
Post by: erniee on February 07, 2024, 08:20:26 am
My 600d was installed in the coach by aqua hot for Roger Berke as a " prototype " from what I understand. Since this is a one off unit, getting it diagnosed was a bit of a problem. I made a trip to Rudy's and after much diagnosis he called John Carillo who makes all kinds of things for aqua hot. John remembers the installation and both of those guys spent quite sometime trying to figure out why my burner wouldn't ignite, or even come on for the start up sequence. They in turn, called someone at the factory that also knew of this unit. I wasn't starting to feel all warm and fuzzy about this situation. We are supposed to attend grandson's college graduation in Havre, Montana May 4. Rudy said there is one part that he can order and have it shipped to my house.
So, i left. Drove 425 miles home and waited.
The part arrived. It's called a buck boost. 4 wires. But directions say, that I must calibrate the voltage. Lovely. Me and electric don't go hand in hand. So I did the best I could. Turned power on and the little red light came on and then slowly went off. Crap, I think I fried it.
Big depression set in. I called Rudy once more and he said that's the way it is supposed to work. Nothing in directions says anything about it. So he told me to disconnect power, wire it up to the unit and fire it up.
The damn thing came on.
Thank God and Rudy and all his associates.
