Recently, when I start up the old Sharp m/w, every once in a while, my a/c power goes off. After a few minutes, my power is restored. Power is still coming into the coach. At times I may have a space heater going, but not always. Sometimes the m/w seems to run slightly slower, then speed up. Sometimes, the hood lamp slightly flickers. Is the m/w on the its last legs, or could there be something going on with the power supply in the coach? No circuit breakers are being switching off.
Thanks, Mike
If you have a surge protector plugged into microwave outlet, remove it and run microwave.
If you have a clamp on amp meter and a commercial or home made outlet adapter that allows you to measure amperage on one leg of microwave check the amp draw. Compare that to data plate.
Using a short 12 ga extension cord try the above on another circuit and compare readings.
Contacts on Transfer relay or bushes in reel if you have one. Be nice to know what the voltage is doing
The microwave gets its power from the transfer switch from the inverter, so could be the contacts could be getting bad.
Well, just checked the plug in, and found a ' microwave oven protector model vsm', had to have been oem and over 25 years old. It was blackened around female plug-in for the m/w, and the lite was not on. Will continue to use m/w without circuit protector for a while to see if the the problem persists, and go from there. Still think that the m/w is on its last legs. Problem is lectricity is not my thing. I don't know how to run down circuitry, and have little understanding of it.

Plug it into a different outlet, to other leg, direct to outside outlet, use extension cord, use outlets that are not fed through inverter panel, check power cord / plug for meltdown. Always turn off all high amp devices when running microwave. Learn more about basic electric, it is not hard and will serve you well to survive RV problems. You can do it. You have to do it.
