2002 U-270 ISL400 was this ever factory from Foretravel? Thank you JD
Is that the inverter transfer switch?
No : shore power and generator have Maverick DTS – 4800
I meant the one that has shore power and inverter as its input - the second transfer switch (relay). Not the main transfer switch.
ETA - where in the coach is this located?
Maverick
Driver side, middle Bay
Can you follow the wires back to determine what the 2 sources are? Normally, I'd expect if it was the second transfer switch (for the inverted circuits panel), I would expect it to be wired between the main breaker box and the sub-panel breaker box, close to both of those. IOW, I wouldn't expect it to be in one of the bays, but at the base of the bed.
The Maverick MTS is under the bed that's powers the inverter. Was expecting to see two contactors shore power & generator with the orange relay for low voltage release . Was wondering if anyone has seen this replacement that I have in my coach or was it factory?
Was expecting to see
Build date shows 18?
Have owned the motorcoach since 2009 have never changed that assembly
So it sounds like this is the main transfer switch and it's not a Maverick. Then you have a Maverick transfer switch for the inverter sub-panel.
I would suspect this main transfer switch is not OEM. It's also unusual that it has a label stating "Toromont Refrigeration" on it.
Do you have the coach schematics? If so, what does drawing A2700 look like? Does it show an over/under surge protection device on the shore power input to the main transfer switch (Relay #1)? That would be an Intermatic device that Foretravel would have mounted on a Maverick transfer switch if the coach was built with one and would help identify if this transfer switch is OEM or not.
Thank you that's exactly what I was worried about when I opened it up to look inside . Will, look at the schematic and see what originally was offered thank you
This is what my schematic shows
OK, so not necessarily a Maverick like some 2002 and later. But it still could have been, just without the Intellitec device.
Looking at the 2001 U270 Parts Manual in the forum library, that year used a 50 amp Lyght Power transfer switch
We need to get some folks with a 2002 to let us know what they have as a transfer switch
