Its time to replace all my running lights, front and rear. I will replace with LED units.
The led light market is fast evolving as are the places to buy, What have you used recently and where did you purchase?
For those that have replaced theirs years ago what did you use and how are they holding up?
Any suggestions?
Direct replacement without modification is my goal in picking a replacement.
Might try the old thread linked below for some ideas. The ones I used back then are all still working fine, but both the red and amber lenses are cloudy/faded from UV exposure. Of course, our coach always sits outside in the brutal West TX sun unprotected, so take that into consideration. I bought two complete sets of lights, for the express purpose of being able to replace the lenses at some time in the future. I guess one of these days I should go ahead and do that....

Have you looked at Find it parts?
I used these. Big improvement

Chuck, I read your old posts and was curious how they had held up over the years, The plastic and UV is my biggest concern. Glad to read they have held up well.
How many watts (each) do the new LED lights draw?
Jeff, how long have your lights been installed?
I know you have your coach in covered storage so the beat down from the Sun probably won't effect your plastic like a coach stored outside.
Two years, so far so good. We spent two winters in AZ without issue. Like Chuck, at that price I bought two sets and put one away.
I see the wiring for the lights exit the reflector near the side, from what I have read the original lights have the wires exit center.
How did you deal with the wiring?
Drilled a hole in the center. Easy job.

Apologies, not trying to hijack the post but does anyone have the part numbers for LED bulbs for the original front & rear clearance lights and side marker & turn indicator lights for a 98 U270? My lenses are all like new from being stored inside it's whole life but want to install LED bulbs. Thanks
Lots to choose from on Amazon if you're looking for the compact wedge-shaped bulbs.
24 bucks a light is kinda pricy.... 24x 10=240 plus tax and shipping..... js
Keith
Try Super Bright LED Lights website. And get variable 12VDC lights.

Agreed. Truck-Lite is a high quality product though.
Might want to look at the Roadpro rp 1370 rd. That is what we used 4 or 5 years ago. Found them at a Loves truck stop for 9.99 each. Works good and looks good........ check the search function under clearance lights.
If your 95 is like my 99..... The tail lights are a GMC product from around the mid 90s time frame. The clearance lights are standard truck lights, look up part number on Google. I belive the center brake light is GMC also.
