Howdy all, 1989 u280, 3208 Cat. I was tracking down a fuel leak, found and fixed, but then found a nice hissy leak in that fancy braided line. I emailed Foretravel just in case they have any part # info or anything, but I kinda doubt they'll be able to help. Has anyone here with a similar vintage coach replaced that hose? I'm hoping to not have to ferry it around to every truck supply store, or Grainger, or who knows where, to try and get it matched up...
You probably not going to find one already made up, they make those hoses as required at hose supply houses. Maybe call your local fire department and ask where they are getting theirs made.
Any mower shop should be able to make one. Call around .
It didn't need to be braided. The zero turn mowers operate at much higher pressure than our air system .
I found this company does a great job, they are nationwide.
They will make up the hose or come out and make the hose and install it.

The one on my 270 is stainless and I bought it from NAPA already to go... Pricey 3 years ago.
Look up National oil well stores, they can get the hose for you but you have to be able to tell them what size and what fittings you want on it,much cheaper then having a truck come to you.
With any luck, I'll get this buttoned up today or tomorrow. New hose sourced, that was easy. But, "since I was in there", I figured it was probably ten years or more overdue to put a fresh filter in the air dryer. But since this air dryer is OEM from 1989, those parts are NLA. So the nice new Bendix is on its way in there, but boy oh bot what a treat this is. Where it lives, is not exactly convenient and easy to get to...
If it anything like the hidden location on our '93 U280, then I feel your pain. I have changed ours out 3 times in our driveway, and it is due again. Practice, in this case, does not make it any easier or more enjoyable.
Try to pick a cool day to do it, and take lots of breaks!

Take pics and loosen the fittings before removing the dryer from its bracket.
I eventually changed both check valves from the dryer onward.
I had mine made at Orielly's.
