Title: 2000-320-42 HWH issue
Post by: erniee on April 28, 2024, 11:43:44 am
After driving 3 days, went to start coach, will not come to ride height. Back end is down. I talked to Keith, and we went thru some troubleshooting. All fuses are good. Currently stuck in Sheridan Wyoming. Series 600 HWH unit

Ride height solenoid in drive axle 6 pack stuck open?  Hammer taps on valve body possibly free it up.  When was last rebuild of the 6 pack?

Can you manually raise the rear with the up button?

I mean to put it in manual level mode and press the rear raise button on the Hwh pad by your driver seat. Can you raise the rear that way?

If I recall if you remove the cover in the HWH control box in the bay you will see wires go the travel solenoids ( gray wires I think) apply direct 12v to them and see if it goes to travel height. If it goes into ride height make a jumper to keep them energized. One of the power wires in the control box is hot at all times.

After talking to Richard Entriken on the Newell forum, this is the solution that he had to use on his coach. We are now at ride height. Thanks also to Keith for his suggestions.
Although, it didn't correct the issue, at least we can show up for our grandson's college graduation.

We drove 300+ miles today with the "fix" in place. No issues at all
