Title: Updating XSG2NA GPS on 2013 Nimbus
Post by: Victor and Pat on May 27, 2024, 11:59:55 am
Got a message that an update was available for GPS. Went to website for Naviextras and looks like you need to plug in stick into usb port. Don't have a usb port that I can see.
Has anyone been able to do update (maybe Bluetooth) or do I need to replace the whole unit?
I didn't find anything in my settings that would take into account the weight restrictions so this is a concern.
I find entering info on the touch screen much more finicky then other GPS I have so don't know if update would address these concerns.
Appreciate any feedback.

If like mine,  there is an SD card on bottom edge. Press in and sd card will come out.

Make sure you have program on laptop and insert SD card. It may update card or you may need to pay for an update map. I think the latest I have is from  2023

Took trim off around radio and fond card on the bottom.
Do you know if updated software will keep us off load limit bridges?
Thank you again for helping me find this!

If you have a code us it to get a discount.  If you don't have one I will look harder to find the last one I got.

There are setting I believe under driver, where you put the weight, height, and max speed you travel.

I do not use this as my main driving program since it is not live update, but it has told me if the route has load limit bridges.  On trip to Louisiana there was a bridge that was 12' 8" and it wanted me to turn left at an intersection  where I would have missed the bridge where the others wanted me to go straight.  I had seen the low bridge sign so I followed the coaches GPS.
