Title: Keyless entry retrofit
Post by: kgrover on June 07, 2024, 11:39:54 am
Does anyone have any suggestions to add keyless entry to a 91 GV? Preferably with a keypad. My daughter locked us out last night. Luckily the bed room window wasn't latched and I boosted her up through that so she could unlock the door. But the wife is now requesting a keyless option if possible. I've seen the adds on Facebook, but they don't look like they would fit the current door latch.

Just zip tie a spare key somewhere under the coach.

Lots less $$$.

We had a key fob/key pad lock on our 5th wheel that we REALLY liked. Unfortunately I don't think they'd work on our coaches but if you can find something with a key fob you'll love it.

If it's just for the event of a lock-out, I agree with Brett, stash a key somewhere.

I've got spare keys in the towed now, but the wife is requesting a keyless entry, so gotta try to make her happy.

Seems like a kit like this would work. It may take some time to setup the proper wire to wire install as the bay doors open with the lock unlock doubleclick.

Hide a door key somewhere outside coach. . . Some hide door key in engine compartment or other locked compartment, then hide a key to compartment or engine outside. If someone finds outside key it will not open door.
