Post by: oldguy on June 07, 2024, 07:01:10 pm
My condenser fan is toast and I need a new one. Anyone have a part # or how much cfm I
need and is it a 16 in for size

Condenser Fan Assembly...1060029. The invoice doesn't list fan size and I didn't notice when I installed. The fan is housed in a plastic housing so I can't measure it. Fits my 96 270 and in 2020 it cost $285.18

I couldn't find anything by googling that number. There is a parts store that we will stop by
tomorrow that has a generic fan and I will see if it will work. I got the old fan off yesterday so
I can take it in to compare.

I ordered a replacement from Foretravel a few weeks back.  $330ish.  It's a 16" DCM branded puller fan.  The PN on it is 840029-NS-1...same part number SGM (who supplied the A/C to FT) gave me.  I can't find anything by that PN.

The new one did come with the wrong connector for my installation.  A 2-pin molex connector instead of a weatherpack.  Had to swap that out.

As long as the new fan provides close to the same CFM and direction of flow and is easy to install, no reason to go with the exact part number unless price is close to the same as "the other one".

I think my fan has been changed before as the plug has been wired in and can be wired to
go either way.
