Title: Realm FS450 video thoughts
Post by: Michelle on June 30, 2024, 09:57:44 pm
One of our hobbies/addictions is watching RV walk-through videos.  We've been doing this ever since Discovery (or TLC, can't remember which) aired "RV 2000", an hour-long overview from either Pomona or Hershey back in late 1999/early 2000.

So the other day I stumbled on the following "influencer" video of a 2022 Realm FS450

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XHD1RibS9U

But if you'll note, they don't seem to know much about motorhomes (e.g. the interior finish in the FS450 reminds them of a Tiffin?  :-X ), and then, rather surprisingly, this seems to be a video sponsored by Foretravel's only dealer (then RVR - RV Retailer LLC, now Blue Compass).  I was surprised at how the "tour guides" disparaged many aspects of the coach and how the sales shrub (whose job is to sell these coaches) joins in at the end and discourages folks from considering a shorter Foretravel ("if you're going to go with a big coach, go with a BIG coach - a 45 footer").  The RVR/RVOne sales shrub is particularly obnoxious.

With this kind of "dealer representation", I suspect the FS450 will be short-lived.  I haven't seen any 2024's advertised.  This is a shame because the FS450 is probably the closest thing to Newmar's New Aire one can find, and those seem to have cornered the luxury shorter-DP market.

(and I despise "influencers")

I couldn't get past the editing at the beginning of the video....made me dizzy.

It should be forwarded to the higher ups at FORETRAVEL for their input.
