Title: Help identify this item
Post by: GuynChrista on July 12, 2024, 01:29:53 pm
Looking for help identifying what ever this is on the end of this small air tank.
Located just above and behind the chassis batteries on my 2000 U320.

There is air rushing out of the top of it.

My rear air tanks no longer hold air.

Thanks,
Guy

That is an air brake relay valve. Available at most truck stops and probably NAPA

It's also upside down.  Take it out and take it to napa or fleetpride and they will match it up

If you are talking about what is connected to the air tank that to me. Looks like a air protection valve.

Yes, the thing right at the end of that tank.

I believe the item above tank in picture is the brake relay, what others are talking about.  You can also get this at fleetpride  or a napa. Napa may have to order one.

I just had to replace both of mine since they were leaking.

When you get a new one also get new hose fittings.

Looks a little like my air force one ping tank.

It's part of the Air Force One brake system. Like others said, take it to an auto parts store for replacment

My guess is also with Richard & Betty: If you are not using AF One dingy break system, you can cap it off as it would not be used.
