My steering box is now leaking. I know I can replace the seal, and that may be the fix, but this unit is 25 years old and I think I would be more comfortable getting it rebuilt. I think that pulling it will too big of a project for me to tackle.
Does anyone have any recommendations for where I can go near St Louis to get it pulled and then reinstalled after the rebuild?
Also, where do you recommend that I send it for the rebuild?
Or, am I overreacting, and should I just repair the seal?
Kevin, get a diesel truck mechanic to remove/replace the box. Stopping by truck repair shops will help find one willing to work on a motorhome. Ship it to

Chris has rebuilt many Foretravel steering boxes, knows them well and is easy to deal with.
For rebuilding, RedHead in Washington State.
Some steering box overview information is available on the wiki --- Sheppard Power Steering M100PDP1 (https://wiki.foreforums.com/doku.php?id=technical:chassis:sheppard)
