Was getting ready to come home from east Texas and as we were hooking up the toad I noticed air leak by the front tires. Crawled under and spritzed everything and found leak coming from plastic screw in part of this valve from the front ping tank. Engine air compressor kept up with the leak easily, so we progressed home the 300 miles. Arrived no problem. What does this valve do?
If you are talking about the piece with the gage, that would be one of the pressure regulators that are notorious for leaking. These can be got from most any home improvement store hardware store or off the net. I try to buy a group of 6 at the time.

What does it regulate?
To expand on what Mike posted, it's the regulator that keeps the front air bags from inflating faster than the rear so you don't think you're at ride height before the rear has fully inflated. Usually set at 60-65psi.

The replacement can be found in the air tools department of Lowe's or Home Depot. About $28 currently. 1/4" NPT. Lowe's shows a Porter Cable and a Kobalt option.
