Title: latch pins
Post by: craneman on July 20, 2024, 03:03:24 pm
While on our last trip the front engine door wouldn't release. After getting it open I found the passenger side catch pin was only held on by a few threads. After tightening all was good. I decided it might be prudent to check the rest of them only 2 had the nuts completely tight all the others were starting to come unscrewed. Tightened all some took 3 or more turns to get tight. I lost the right engine hatch catch pin and had to replace it on our earlier trip. My bad for not taking care of checking all of them at that time. It might be something to check once and a while.

Hi Craneman, I am missing the passenger side engine hatch pin. Do you have a part number or size of what you replaced? I have a 1996 U295C. I attached a picture of the drivers side pin for a visual.

I have used a 1/4" 20 bolt and a Nutsert for the pin. Jim.
