Title: Water heater
Post by: quickmagic on August 19, 2024, 02:05:45 pm
I have successfully made it to the point where I would now like to have hot water.

On my 1984 , can anyone help me out with its location and any quirks I should know about lighting and operating the unit?

Thank everyone so much for past help, I really appreciate it.

The water heater should be on the driver side of the coach. It has a white metal door with a twist type lock at the top that you turn so that it allows the door to open. You will see the burner assembly. If it is the original one it should have electronic ignition. There should be a switch with a built in light on the front of the cabinet under the countertop close to the sink. When you turn it on it should show red for a short time and when it lights the light should go off. If the light comes on and stays on it means that it didn't light. There is lots of information online and utube about Atwood water heaters. It should be a 6 gallon.

Nice concise explanation and good recommendation about YouTube.
