Well another one is in the books and once again, on-site service was solid. Ashley continues to be excellent to work with and the techs were level-headed and easy to speak with.
I had them rebuild one jack actuator and replace one with a new unit, replace a few bad relays, and give most of it a once-over for any other issues. $700 all-in and I have a leak-free, fully functioning leveling system that's 36 years old. That's more than I think most Realm owners can say ;D
They didn't have anyone there that had seen my system before because it was so old, but none the less they were able to fix it which is exactly why I bought this coach... no magic just simple, easy to understand systems.
Tidbits of note:
- Labor rate is $125/hr ($90/hr when I was last there)
- Production lines have scaled back to 60% capacity since the pandemic.
- Service is staying busy without any noticeable drop in demand
- Wifi continues to be unusable in their waiting room and Verizon cell service pretty much non-existent at the facility. The city park in Tipton has a great pavilion with power if you need to work during the day.
When were you there? I just drove through there yesterday!
That's funny. I fueled up in Tipton yesterday afternoon. I would have stopped in to say hello since it's literally right off of I80. I stopped there on my way out to Colorado a couple of weeks ago to look around and make an appointment and I met Ashley. Come to think of it I did pass a Grand Villa yesterday, I don't recall where but it was headed West. Maybe it was you! Hope to meet up another time.
That was probably me. And we were working at the Tipton city park while you were there ^.^d
I was there August 26. Leveling check up and slide fix. Turns out wires frayed on harness connection in front driver wheel well. Shorting and blowing fuse in box. Slide like new
So did you guys get to tour that custom coach that was being built for the HWH owner? Or is it long done and gone?
Is that a little class C? I did see that if so...still looked like just a shell to me
It's still there. Class A. Someone was working on the front of it when I was there. I asked what it was and was told it was custom built from scratch. Forgot how long they said they've been building but know it was a long time. Looked like stealth mode, mostly flat grey.
