Title: Aux Commpresor Check Valve Drain
Post by: danilaprepeleac on September 12, 2024, 04:25:39 pm
hello
the check valve after the desiccant bowl on the Thomas compressor.
has anyone done anything about the moisture that gets blown by the check valve after the compressor stops and releases the extra air.
i was thinking to put a hose there drill a hole into the floor and vent it out that way keeping the moisture level in the electrical/compressor bay low.

any suggestions

thank you
Daniel

If your coach is similar to mine, there should be a 2" hole with a screen over it in the bottom of that compartment.  It may be right under your compressor.
The exit on the solenoid valve is threaded.  You could add a barbed nipple and run a rubber line to exit out that screen.
If you don't have the 2" hole, then yes, you could drill a small hole and run a line out the bottom. Just watch out for bracing if you drill a hole.

Easy-- just use a magnet to identify where the box beams are. The rest of the basement floor is just:

Thin fiberglass, foam insulation, thin fiberglass.  Very easy to drill through.

Be sure and put a filter stone on the end of it if you do....If you live or travel anywhere in the southeast, mud Daubers will plug up any available hole on anything.
