Anyone know what these switches are on the left lower dash panel (down by your shin) on a 2014 IH-45? One appears to be on/off and the other is momentary. The wires "disappear" up into the dash and I'm hoping to avoid having to trace them down.
Not sure on an IH, but for earlier coaches those would be for engine and ABS diagnostics (you won't have a momentary third one since you don't have a Javalina tank monitor)

Kinda hard to figure out why the factory installs "mystery" switches with no markings or indication of their purpose.
It is a place where someone can get embarrassed by pushing one of those switches and it raises the engine RPM and they don't notice. This has resulted in a couple of phone calls to me trying to figure out why the trans. won't shift into gear the next morning when they get ready to leave the campground.

Perfect, thanks! For my coach they would be for engine diagnostics since the high idle is set with the steering wheel cruise control.
Post #5 from Spiderhitch in the "Mystery switches" post had me laughing. That's exactly how I felt. When everything in the coach is working, it can be exciting to discover a new button, it's like a scavenger hunt! But when you're dealing with a problem it's so frustrating that things are not labeled, labeled poorly or even if they are labeled, there is no real owner's manual to tell you what it does.
Ted,
I haven't ran across this with an IH yet but would like to know. The high idle on the smart wheel should reset to low idle set point if you kill the engine. On those hid switches one could set the low idle set point and it won't reset when the engine is turned off. It takes you to push button to reset it manually.

On IH if you want high idle, you turn cruise power switch on (toggle switch between off and on) then with parking brake on, foot off brake, press the set button. Engine idle will then increase to just under 900 rpm. If you hit the brake or toggle the on/off switch, engine goes back to factory idle. If you shut the engine off the cruise control shuts off. On every engine restart You need to press the on//off button in order to get the cruise or high idle to work.
