Opposite here. We avoid travel in the summer due to heat and crowds. Getting ready for the winter in the southwest.

We prep ours for winter by turning off one air conditioner.

While winter is coming up here at 9000 feet altitude in Colorado, I keep the coach ready to go depending on the road conditions.
Being able to keep the coach in a heated garage all the time helps.
Even though it can be very cold, if the sun comes out and the roads are dry, we will take the coach out for some winter trips.
This year, we're planning on visiting Yosemite in February and March. We've spent many Christmas and New Years in Yosemite. Absolutely beautiful in the winter and hardly anyone there.
Seems to be the only time we've been able to get reservations. Last year all the sites for April and beyond were gone in 60 seconds.
Still in Boone, hoping for the best to get out after we replace the dead batteries. Our residential fridge was on, power was out for 10 days and we couldn't get to the coach. The National Guard was using the warehouse as a place to pack relief boxes.
