Had to use the wipers on last trip. At hwy. speed arms will slap when they reach the outside of the windshield. I am not sure if the arms are the original. They are 28" from the mounting stud to the tip. Blades are 26". Foretravel tech said to adjust arms as close to the vertical rubber on the glass, which i did and it didn't help. Does anyone know correct arm length? I found some 31.5" long arms. on line.

Had the same problem; driver side. Had MOT adjust it. The wiper parks almost touching the center gasket and parallel with the gasket. Fixed the problem. I thought about fixing it myself and I even purchased a gear puller, but then reconsidered. If I mess up it will require disassembly of the dash.
We had MOT install a whole new wiper set up because the. Motor was erratic and the new ones worked for a while then would go way further than required, no one could fix them at local places or MOT, Keith (no longer at MOT) fixed the issue without removing everything, they work now but max out the travel on the glass
My passenger side goes way to far so I have taken off before something breaks. I worked on it
a long time ago and it worked properly for about 15 minutes so when I have some time I will
take the dash apart and see if I can figure our what needs fixing.
Why do you want to use blades that are so long? We use 24 inch blades and have great visibality and less stress on motors.
I notice that when not moving, the wipers only go so far, but as you start driving and the wind catches the wiper and helps it go further and further with speed. At 60+, it goes off the edge and the arm hits the glass. Doesn't happen below 35 or so.
