On a 2013 IH-45, does anyone know what it means when the indicator light on the dash switch continuously rapid blinks?
I think it means one of your battery banks are either over or under a set voltage threshold. Just guessing, your house batteries may be bad and triggering the low voltage.
Thanks but both chassis and house batteries are at good voltage levels (reading 12.9v).
If you coach is on shore power your voltages should be in the 13.6 range.
You have a smart switch that also works as a boost switch.
Go in your inverter compartment and on the wall should be a red and yeiiow switch look and see what position it is in.
In my coach when I manually turn switch off , Dash switch flashes.
Manual says rapid flashing say voltage is too low or too high
Thanks Turbojack for pointing me in the right direction. I accidentally had the VSS switch in the "Manual On" position. Moved it to "Auto on" and lost the blinking light. Appreciate the help.
So the newer coaches have an auto battery bank combining system. I put in a blue seas ACR combiner as I figured out that it was a 100% fool proof way to never have discharged batteries. Obviously you need some source of 100% power for it to work. Interesting that the light blinks to warn you that the banks are manually connected. The particular combiner i selected has no manual connect. Only through its control button mounted where the oem boost switch was. So for at least the last ten years Foretravel has had available or std battery combining
