Title: 6 pack
Post by: oldguy on October 31, 2024, 08:11:25 pm
As I had to take the 6 pack off as it was in my way of welding the trailing arm bracket. I thought I
would overhaul it as the previous owner had gotten the overhaul  kit. It came from Cuck and Jeanie.
Is there any special grease  that it should use.

I prefer Dow Corning 111 but there are several good silicone grease options out there.

I used waterproof silicone grease from Lowes 4 years ago.  No issues since.

8 years ago, in the lengthy 6-pack rebuild thread, I mentioned acquiring a small sample tube of Super Lube 21030 Synthetic Grease.  I'm still using that same tube of lube.  If applied sparingly (as recommended), a small quantity will last a long time!

I screwed up and stripped 2 of the pressure switches 1698. I will phone Monday or does anyone know
if they can be gotten any where else.

I bought Nason pressure switches in the past from: Motion & Flow Control Products (https://www.mfcp.com/locations)
As I recall they were built to order and took 2 to 3 weeks to arrive.

I just remembered Northwest RV supply and they will be shipping them out today.
