Hello Foretravelers ... My wife and I are pondering the purchase of a 2025 Realm Presidential. We've spent the past few years thoroughly enjoying our Newmar London Aire but might be looking for something newer and nicer. If anyone has time, I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have on Foretravel and its top-line models. Good, bad or indifferent — makes no difference. Just appreciate any info you might have time to share.

I have talked to a number of owners of a new Foretravel presidential that had previously owned a Dutch Star and they
all said the ride in there new Foretravel coach was way better then their Dutch Star.
Foretravel now uses a K4 chassis built by Spartan that is only used by Foretravel. If you look at pictures of it you can see the difference between the K4 and K3 or K2.
You can also get Performance Choice that I have been told it makes a big improvement in ride. A few people I talked to that had it added to their coach said they were impressed. I was trying to get added to my ih45 but was told it can't be added to the ih45
The K4 is a beautiful chassis with solid construction. It has all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a modern vehicle (all the collision and driving assist goodies).
The primary downside is that there are not many of them around, so you are dependent on finding service locations that are not going to learn on your dime. Some systems/components will be common with other Spartan K3 items, but it has unique electronics/instrumentation that only some locations will be familiar with. I'm not sure FOT will even be a good source for chassis diagnostics.
At that price point I would also be looking at used Prevost conversions which will have a better chassis service base.
Consider where you travel and where you could go if there was an issue.
Some of the Prevost conversions are not around anymore. Caveat- Prevost only works on their chassis and related components that they build. They will not touch the converters' accessories.
Pretty much the same rules as you will find in Spartan and Freightliner service centers (that will work on RV's). The positive with those compared to Prevost will be part cost, it's call Prevost Proud for a reason!
