Title: IH-45 Water for refrigerator.
Post by: Herb Stark on December 15, 2024, 07:09:57 pm
Just taking delivery of a new to us 2014 IH-45.  It seems there is no water to the refrigerator.  So no water in door and no ice.  There has to be a line from the manifold, but not a single line that could be turned off without turning something else off.  I will bet that @turbojack  can answer this question.  Thanks Guys.....an update will follow.

The refrigerator gets it's water from under the kitchen sink.  The shut off valve with small water line is connected to a blue PEX pipe under the sink.  This line then has to go along with the other wires, and pipes for the slide, then under coach and up to refrigerator. Hope the valve was turned off. If valve is on then possible line crimped under the sink before going out of slide or refrigerator has a problem. I would say it could be a 50-50 chance either way if water is turned on.

Does this feed go through an ADC filter like the earlier coaches' does?  (it would also feed the drinking water spigot on an older coach's countertop)  If so, it could also be that the ADC head is shut off.

(ETA - and I'd change that filter if it's there)

Well, in my checking, under the sink was one of my first places to check.  I did not see an extra line leaving the sink area.  Only saw the the two feeding hot and cold for sink both on.  I will get back in that area in the morning and see what I can find.  Maybe it branches off from the lavatory in the half bath.  I hate to pull the reefer out, but that would tell me whether water is there or not.

. I wish it did have that filter, I know some folks do not like them, but I think it is a great filter.  No the IH-45 does not have a drinking water spigot at the sink.  I will miss that as I use it a lot.  Thanks for your input.

There is a water filter that is in the last bay on Pass side, above the water pump. This water filter is for the kitchen sink cold water and the refrigerator.

Under the sink you will have coming up a white water hose that is connected to a blue Pex pile. Just after that is where the valve for the refrigerator is. Then next is the valve for the sink faucet.  If all you are seeing is blue Pex and then the valve for the sink, then the valve for refrigerator will be under the cover the Pex is coming out from.

It was exactly where you said it was.  I was unable to see the blue pet and the valve was there, but no handle.  When it was turned on, the water eventually got to the reefer.  Found a defective motor in the drivers seat.  One is on the way.  Now to find a major leak in the input of the fresh water system.  Thanks Jack

That looks very much like the filter I had in my Monaco Dynasty.  It was a good filter also, cheaper and easier to change.  I see mine has been in there a while so sanitizing and filter change are in order.  Thanks again Jack.
