Title: 2005 U295 Wall Switch
Post by: Dmac1955 on January 12, 2025, 09:32:24 am
Seem to have no contact when pressing the "bedroom vanity" button on the bedroom wall switch.  Other buttons on this switch are working.    I initially thought the fluorescent light bulb need to be replaced, and in the process of replacing with an LED found that I did not have voltage to the light fixture.  I would like to remove the wall switch to inspect, but have not figured out how to do this?

Is this a Intellitec Multiplex system?

Not certain.  Picture of affected switchplate attached.  Same design used throughout coach.  Up to ten switches per plate.

That is definitely a multiplex system, I don't know what Foretravel used in 2005. You need someone at Foretravel or at least someone who is familiar with multiplex systems. To me they are very difficult to troubleshoot and also understand, as there is no voltage to measure. It works off of a digital signal.

Here's my 07 Intellitec controllers located behind a panel underneath the fridge.  I haven't had to troubleshoot, the first thing I'd do is find the panel and check the fuses.

I changed out fuse for affected location.  Still no voltage when activating switch.  System sounds complicated.  I will keep researching and hope to find a solution.

I suggest you verify a perfect ground side connection. Run a new temporary wire for testing.

There is some documentation available in the media section, including some basic trouble shooting.  Its an old system and if I recall you can still download the programming software but its for a really old version windows, not sure it would work in emulation mode or if you would need to run it in a VM  ..... or just get an old computer.
