Title: Random repairs and changes to the 240
Post by: Michael Riensche on February 02, 2025, 11:16:26 am
It's been too cold in Central KY for this Florida boy to get half of what I would have wanted to do in January on our 240 done. Finally the weather was warm enough for me to venture outside for a couple of days of work.

The old fridge vent didn't survive the ice storm on January 5th/6th. I had planned to remove it this spring as we did away with the old absorption fridge last summer for a 12 volt Norcold. New cap on the roof is installed and sealed :)

The ice maker was long gone when we bought this coach last spring leaving an unsightly view of the back of the water heater and making the area limited in value for storage. I built out a removable wall system to clean up the area and allow a space for our coffee maker on travel days. It's not to the standard that Foretravel would have done thirty-three years ago, but I'm glad to have it looking and feelIng cleaner for cargo as precious as a caffeine dispenser.

What a joy to make this coach our own.

Agree on both counts  ^.^d  #coffee

That's a fantastic reuse of space.

It's funny, you don't see a lot of SOB owners doing upgrades, refreshes, and remodels like Foretravel owners do/have a shop do as no-brainers.  It's a testament to the quality of the bones of these coaches and the people who built them originally.
