Title: Shower head pivot clamp
Post by: Geodmann on April 15, 2025, 09:24:06 pm
So the screw on my shower head pivot clamp broke off and now the shower head just droops down and shoots the water down the back wall of the shower.  I'm not ready to completely replace the shower valve and trim just yet because I have way too many other projects ahead of that one.  I'd like to fix or replace this head.  I see a lot of threads on the forum that seem to indicate that this is a Moen shower valve.  I'm surprised that it doesn't say Moen any where on it.  Does anyone have the model or part number for this sprayer?

I just checked both 2000 and 2003 parts manuals and it's not listed.  The valve and trim are, but not the head/shower bar.

ETA - I also don't see anything on Moen's site that resembles this handheld shower head as a current product.

You might try reaching out to Moen with that photo to see if they have a current alternative.

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I am in the process of making changes to my shower and came across the fitting your looking for made by Kingston. You can purchase this replacement part on Amazon. See attached picture.

I just recently replaced mine and talked to Moen.  The shower head is not a Moen product.

I ended up replacing the entire bar and sliding head and the towel bar.  Here is what I used:

It is not Moen quality but works for us.  We usually use the campground showers so the FT shower only gets used a dozen times a year at most.  The coach is winterized so I have not yet run any water through the shower head.

I bought several soap dishes from FOT and just replace them when they start to corrode.  They were less than $10 a few years ago.

Rich your link doesn't work, it goes to my last purchase so the link needs to be changed.

The original mixer valve in (our 99) does not accept the newer moen cover plates if you want to upgrade, there is a converter ring that is available so you can  update the look without replacing the mixer valve

Moen has a conversion document on their website:

I was able to drill out broken screw and replace with a stainless 1/4-28 screw.  Eventually i will replace entire set up with Delta.  One question for the group; my hot and cold are reversed; hot is clockwise and cold is ccw.  Anyone else have this or was this another screwup by a previous RV "technician"?
