Title: Sewer hose storage vent hood
Post by: Geodmann on April 20, 2025, 10:13:30 pm
I need to replace the vent hood that's underneath the coach and covers the open end of the PVC pipe that is the sewer hose storage.  No manufacturer information on this, just the number D-401-1.  Anybody know who the manufacturer of this piece is?

I was not able to get that number to come up on any good search I did.

Have you tried contacting Foretravel.  I think they still use them or something similar.

Following up on this post, I was able to get the EXACT same part from Foretravel.  Cost was a steal at around $32.  Shout out to Brad in the parts department, he always takes care.

Looks like the same type I have as vents on my enclosed trailer....just the outside part of it anyway.

This one was puzzling me from the beginning, so I mentioned it to Steve and showed him the photo.  He pointed me to the parts manual.  At least on a 2003, it isn't for the sewer hose, it's the air intake for the cooling fan in the electronics/inverter bay

This is definitely for the stinky slinky on my coach.  I will check tomorrow to see where my electonics bay fan exhaust is terminated.  I imagine that FT used this vent for many different purposes.

My inverter basement bay has the cooling fan and it exhausts air through a heavy rubber hose (like a radiator hose) through the floor with no hood or screening on it.  No dedicated make up air, it must rely on leakage.  Looks very factory original, right down to the gobs of silicone.
