Title: Grand villa backup camera
Post by: campipilot on June 11, 2025, 05:11:33 pm
A friend recently installed a new stereo with a nice screen in his truck that included a back up camera. Has anybody done this in our Grand Villa's? It would be nice to get a screen that would fit in the current outdated screen's location. My screen is dead and I need a solution.

Curtis, there's a bunch of Forum threads covering the upgrade/installation of backup cameras.  If you try searching the subject you'll find lots of good ideas and helpful advice.

Most members favor using wired cameras, but some of us have used wireless setups.  I did ours a long time ago, so the product/source info in my post will be dated or irrelevant.  But, my wireless camera still works fine a decade later, so it is an option for you to consider.

I use the cheap wireless.  On my second one for 8 yrs.    Key is to make sure the ground is secure in the bedroom cabinet  and it may work better if the door is left open .
I dont think that any are manufactured in the US.    Modern China does a good job on most of the  small electronics products.
I removed the overhead  ,head banger  tv box.

Thanks very much for this info—I have contacted RVcams for the components to restore my audit system and backup camera.
