Title: Driver seat
Post by: rvquestion on July 21, 2025, 02:24:26 pm
Hi everybody
I'm planning to replace the seat base with a taller one
I came up with a couple ideas to build a 2 inch razor and mount it under the seat on the floor
Under the driver seat above the front wheel, I can see only two of the seat bolts hanging down
I don't see the other two, they cannot be seen from inside the front storage box either
If anybody has removed or replaced the driver seat, please advise me how it can be removed
I assume that the two front bolts of the base have welded nut in the frame, and the two real ones have bolts and nuts
Please correct me or advise me

Best regards

All 4 have nuts and washers. You have found the 2 that are in the wheel well BUT the other 2 are hid up behind the frame rails in a spot that is almost impossible to get to. You will need to raise and block coach so you can get to the work space behind the generator. Once you have gotten here you can set up and be able to see the 2 nuts you are looking for.

Why not consider putting spacers above the base between one of the connector points under the seat, leaving seat base to floor bolts alone

This is probably the only alternative way to achieve a height adjustment.
