Hello, I'm trying to locate the inverter in my 1984 Foretravel Travco. Does anyone know location and what it looks like?
Thank You!
My 1981 Foretravel Travco didn't have one until I added one.
If your coach still has the original factory electrical system, you probably have a converter rather than a inverter. Of course, with a coach that old it is always possible that the electrical system has been upgraded to more modern equipment.
Whether you have a converter or a inverter, it will be connected to your coach (house) battery with some heavy cables. Follow the positive (+) cables from the batteries to see where they terminate.
The original factory installed Taytronics inverter that came in our one decade newer '93 U280 was a large chunk of steel, slightly more than a foot square in shape, and weighed 55 pounds. If you have anything like that in your coach it would be pretty hard to miss. Link below to a thread where we discuss the OEM Taytronics inverter, in case you are curious.
