Title: Who's coach is this? 97' U320
Post by: 601FORETRAVEL on August 15, 2025, 03:29:40 pm
Does anyone recognize this coach 1997 U320, it's located in Arkansas and we are thinking about buying it.  I'd love to talk to the original owner

A photo of the front end, especially if it has a Motorcade Club number up above the windshield, might help identify it.

I checked the "Through the Years" album, but no one ever uploaded a photo there with that paint job.

If you can get the build number from the coach data plate, you can search the membership for that.  It's part of the long Model number below the VIN on the data plate

Reading The Foretravel Build / Model Code (https://wiki.foreforums.com/through_the_years:model-codes)

Motorcade number would show one of the historical owners, but not necessarily the original one.

Was that on the Copart salvage website?  It comes up in a Google search, but I get a "404 Not Found" when I click the search result.  Ditto all the other salvage auction websites - there's a crumb, but it says the unit was sold.  Probably will show up at Visone in Kentucky where they'll part it out.

You'd put in the 4 digit build number in the upper right search box, then be sure to check the "search by build number" box.

That said, there are no entries with that build number.

yes, It was at a salvage auction, it has since been sold and had the front end damaged fixed.  That is why I was trying to find the last owner maybe, to ask a few questions about the coach
thank you for your help, Michelle

That's awfully fast to fix it - my hits on the auction sites show the listing was from within the last few weeks (unless there's a second salvage-titled unit out there in Arkansas)

I found where it was at a salvage yard 2 years ago but then I did see one where it was listed a couple weeks ago so i not sure if the owner was just trying to sell it through the auction or what but the guy I'm talking to has owned it for over a year

Wonder if it could be the coach that Yetch has at an auction site. I believe that his coach is a 97 U320.

I think his coach is all white.

If you could post one or two pictures of the inside of the coach, that might also be useful in helping someone identify the coach.  A lot of times, owners will update their coaches and post pictures about projects they have done that are unique.  A new paint job could be anybody's coach, but the interior is another great way to identify a coach and it's past owners.  We own a 1997 U320 and looked at many back when bought ours in 2013.  A few of those coaches we saw would easily be identifiable with one or two interior pictures.  ^.^d

we went and looked at the coach Saturday and spent, probably 4 hours there.  the owner has had it for 5 years, he bought it front the auction then, so its weird it shows up on the auction sites from this year and a couple years ago IDK.
This coach was awesome my wife and i loved it the exterior had full body paint (looked great for its age) and the interior had some updates, no floral patterns and leds everywhere.
it needed rear tires (seller is mounting some new ones b4 we pick it up), the tach was not working just cycling back and forth ever so often, a water manifold (seller is replacing b4 pick up), the after market backup camera didn't work, the in-dash monitor didn't work, the pass. seat footrest didn't work, and it was missing the covers to the cooktop and sink.  the bulkhead look brand new there was a little rust in the dump station compartment but not to bad at all.    The only things we did not test were the aqua hot system (because of the manifold break) but we will test that at pick up and we didn't pull the awnings (he said he had never used any of them and just as a precaution if one got stuck we couldn't test drive it)
It drove like a Cadillac, coming from a larger class c (32ft ford v10) i was impressed and so was the wife.  accelerated great, tracked great, stopped great, rode great, nothing bad to say at all.
we believe we got a great deal on an awesome coach and hope to enjoy many football games and camping trips with this one!

It's not mine.  My coach is on auction in Pomona, MO; Sexton Auctioneers.  Price is sitting at $12250.
