Title: Model Designation
Post by: Gary Bouland (RIP) on May 04, 2010, 08:24:47 am
Looks like I will be learning for a while on this new board.
FWIW In the profiles section there is no U280 listed so I used a U290 ( which never existed) If this is the worst glitch in this I will  be happy.

Gary, you're doing fine.  The U275 designation also needs to be updated to U270 as well.

Thanks for letting us know - it should be fixed soon.  Since Steve's primary mission was collecting and fixing (that part was a task and a half!) the Yahoo messages, we're not surprised that there would be some of these other "oopses".

Forum works well.  However, many Foretravels were were built with custom floor plans and in my case (we are the second owners) a custom length.  I believe that I own one of the first 38 foot Foretravels that also was built without out a dining booth or standard table. We have a" Harvest Table" configuration (a long narrow dining table facing out with two chairs).  This dining configuration provides for quite a bit additional walk around space in the kitchen area. Thus, I would guess our configuration to be "PBNS"  (Private Bath - No Slide).

Our floor plan is not to be found among Foretravel's standard floor plans for 2002 (http://beamalarm.com/foretravel-links/models/2002-u320-floorplans.pdf (http://beamalarm.com/foretravel-links/models/2002-u320-floorplans.pdf)) which made for some difficulty when trying to acquire financing.  NADA does not list pricing for a 38 foot Foretravel, but all worked out fine in the end.

No matter what...... We LOVE IT!!

Good point, Ron!  Ours is a custom floorplan as well (front is an AGDS, middle is a walk-thru bath, rear is a bedroom slide.)  The original owner obviously had fun piecing it together.  It works great for us, too.

Since many of the new coaches (Nimbus and Phenix) are also custom, putting your coach's uniqueness in your signature (as you did) is a great way to handle this.
