Title: Mystery Part Found on Ground at FOT
Post by: George Stoltz on June 13, 2010, 12:51:59 pm
Six times around the Foretravel parking lot is a half hour of exercise.  And when I am doing the walking that is 30 minutes a day of someone looking for loose screws on the pavement.  Last night I found  this rubber device and wonder if anyone knows what it is for?

George, I would guess that its a dust cover or hole filler of some kind.  Maybe just a disposable filler to protect some hole in some part.
Do what I do.  Pitch it into your junk box and six months from now sit and ponder where it came from, what it is, and why its in your junk box. 8)  Six months after you throw it away you will find out what it is and how bad you needed it.  :(

It looks like the rubber cap for the air valves.  Two in the rear and one in the front.
Those of the one that hold the filters in  in the leveling system.
Just a guess from the pictures.

Oh we did. . .always do.  We saw "Million Dollar Quartet" at The Apollo Theatre in Chicago, and, the actor who played Jerry Lee Lewis blew us away with his piano playing and acting; in fact, we liked his piano antics better than Tony award winner Levi Kreis! 8) :D :P

When you find a really interesting odd piece of hardware, toss in under someone else's coach. Then point it out to them.

Maybe the new owner will figure it out for you.
