During the night I noticed that the motor that operates the air compressor for the leveling system would not shut off. I got up and checked it and the motor was very hot, so in desperation I unplugged a wire that shut the motor off. I have two questions:
With this not working does it pose any safety problems when traveling?
How hard of a fix is it?
It could be the solenoid valve discussed here

Try tapping on it a couple of times; sometimes that helps if the valve is just stuck open. There's also a fuse you can pull to stop the pump from running. We're not at our coach at the moment or we'd post a photo of where that is.

I noticed that post after I posted. It is still early here in Yellow Stone so it will be awhile before I can try it., My problem is I am not much of a mechanical person, but I'll see what I can do. Thanks.
Your engine compressor will fill the needs while you are driving.
What year and model is your coach?
You might want to add this info in your signature in "Profiles" so you don't have to add it to each email.
Makes it easier for others to answer if they know what you have.
I will do that, it is a 2002 U320
I recently had to clean the solenoid that releases moisture from the HWH pump. It was hard to get to, but easy to clean with pure water. A fouled solenoid might cause similar symptoms. However, on my system, the HWH would give up after a while and turn off the compressor. Your issue may be a bit different.
If you are not mechanically inclined, it might be good to let someone else assess the problem. If a fews taps with a small wrench or hammer doesn't free things up, there may be some deconstruction/reconstruction required to fix things.
