Build Numbers

I was wondering,  ::)  Are Build Numbers consecutive  ??? or do they have specific meaning??  My coach build number is 4466, is there a 4465 and a 4467? or are they unique to a style?

They are given in order of manufacture.

Thanks Barry... now,  How did I get a 1994 build # 4466 and Kent get a 1993 Build # 4573 and Pat C get a 1994 # 4514 ???  is Kents coach really a 1994 ????

Gerry, My build # is 4605 so if consecutive they built 139 after yours to get to mine.  Volume has gone down since those days I suspect.
I Wonder ..... How many coaches built are still on the road ?.. Probably no real answer but I suspect that the majority of them are still out there.
  And  ... With nothing else to do on a rainy cold day ..How many Foretravels have ever been built ?  Could you take the build # of the one presently on the line or sold and concur that that is the total number ? ::)

Interesting, lets see:  Unit # 4514,  Aligned by 09,  Date 1-20-94, Road Test by 09.  it also list caster, camber, tow and ride height and steering sector centered.

Was easy to check, the dash was sitting in the garage waiting for me to deliver it.

I would think that some of the being out of order is that the unit # might be assigned when they start building the unit and not when it comes off the line.  At least that would explain the build number between different models.  But I am wondering about Kent's and mine.  Mine is clearly titled as a 94 and the engine has a date of Oct 13, 1993.  I think Kent's is a SBID (Side bath, Island bed, Dinette) while mine is a SBI (Side bath, Island bed) which may have had something to do with it.

I believe I have access to find out how many are on the road in NYS.  But the rest of the states - no way!

Kents new 1993 coach is #4323
He had it listed in his profile incorrectly but I have a copy of his ID plate that shows the correct 4323.
Pat C. is a 1994 4514 which is correct

Thanks for solving the mystery Barry....  I knew something was out of wack !!!!! :-\  I believe mine was built in late 1993 (November) and titled in 1994....

Build date should be on a sticker on underside of dashboard on passenger side.  Just lift it up and look.
