Larry, just a little (and quick) hijacking of this topic if you don't mind...  We're contemplating changing to a 32" LED/LCD TV in our 36' 2003... do you have a couple of before and after photos of your TV modification that you wouldn't mind posting?  :)

We used a Model TV40-001H mount from MorRyde (  http://morryde.com  ) which bolted right into our existing cabinet (without cutting it down) to mount our Sony Bravia 32" LCD/LED TV.  It was a DIY on-the-cheap job, saving us many $$$; which got spent a few weeks later at Mot!!!!  Sorry, no pics as yet.  :o :o :P
