aqua hot cycling

The aqua hot on my 2003 U320 seems to cycle on and off incessantly when near set temperature.  Sometimes, the only way it can be stopped is by turning off diesel switch in the coach.  This has not been an issue until recently.  Is this a symptom of a thermostat issue or something else? Anyone have a solution ?

Test the control thermostat to ensure it is operating within the proper range.

I am assuming that you have a model AHE-100-02S in your coach.

The thermostat should turn off when the coolant in the Aqua-Hot gets to around 190 degrees and turn on when the coolant temperature drops to around 160 degrees.

If the thermostat has partially failed, it will run in to narrow a temperature range, and the unit will short cycle.

The thermostat is not too expensive, you may want to replace it.  Contact me directly for more information.
