Motorhome lift

Boy, did I just hit the jackpot.  After crawling out from under my Subaru, having just finished an oil change, I swore I would never go back under that vehicle again...just getting too old to deal with 8" of clearance!  As I'm able to access any military base, I decided to check out the Auto Skill Shop at the local Air Force installation.  The shop consists of 13 heated stalls, half of which have vehicle lifts.  Tools, free oil recycling, and shop assistance are just some of the amenities offered.  But get this...the last bay has a lift that is rated at 30,000 pounds!  :D  So, before I started the removal of my interior for the wood floor installation, I drove over to base to see if the ramps were properly spaced to accept not only the front tires, but the duals as well; it fit.  It's going to be so nice to use the lift to do the transmission fluid change, oil change, and coolant change this spring.  If you're retired military or a 100% DAV, it might be beneficial to check your local base to see if there's a lift that's rated for you coach.

We called it Non-Appropiated Funds or Recreational Services.  They ran the "Auto Skill Shop", Rod and Gun, Golf Course, Wood Shop for the troops on base.  My wife worked as purchasing/inventory agent at the Berlin Brigade Non-Appropiated Funds office in West Berlin when we were there.  The guy that runs the shop should be available to guide you along on your project!
