KUBOTA Generator Fuel Pump

 :)  Anyone having problems with their Generator starting?  I have traced an additional system failure to the Gen-Set fuel pump. After curing 12 volt electrical feed problems I did service (oil/filters) on unit, after changing out the fuel filter I needed to bleed the system, that's when I found that the fuel pump mounted on the side of the generator was not starting or supplying  the fuel needed to pressurize the system. I did a cross reference on the part number and found Barry's site;  8)  "beamalarm" ;  8) Facet Cylindrical Solid State Electric Fuel Pump - 476459E
He listed a FACET FUEL PUMP #  476459 E  list price @  $ 159.00 - (THANKS BARRY)

Being the cheap-o that I am I searched and found a PUROLATOR made by  Facet on E-bay  @ $ 42.00  after shipping is added; here is the link;

Correct, and yes the Facet pump is the one you want, however make real sure you get the low pressure model as they make several and they get into some high pressure that you do not want.

 I just went to the Purolator page and it is listed as the 4psi max, good choice.

I had the same issue, and found the electric pump (OEM) had failed, so I swiped one from an old generatlor sitting in the shop, happy since ;D

You can get the Facet pump from yachtsupplydepot.com for under $80.00.  I just installed one on my Kubota, it's a quality pump.  Direct bolt in.

The Facet pump is the old Bendix pump, a supreme pump, they were used on all the Onan generators until the newer cheaper pump became the standard.
Knowing what I have learned over the years, IF I did not have the Facet/Bendix pump, I would put one on to eliminate the problem THAT WILL happen. ;D
