OCD'S really kickin' now.

I have in my '93 GV, one day/nite shade, right over the dining table, that is level on the bottom, but the pleats are off by about 2". Plus with me being about a half bubble off the other way, is making me crazy. Any one know how to fix this?  :)

Yes.  Go to McKinney and get MCD blinds and throw the day/night in a dumpster.  They were the absolute bane of my existence and I am SO glad to be rid of them.

I truly do not mean to be flippant ... but I was not born to be one of those people who can take those day/night things apart and restring them.  On a happy note, they come out reeeeaaal easy!!

And when you go to McKinney for shades the money comes out of your wallet almost as fast as the strings from the day/night shades.

What does OCD'S stand for????

Mitch. Is the bottom strip with the handles level? If not, it's a string problem and you need to search here for "restringing day-night shades". If it is, try dampening the offending shade a bit and then closing it tightly for several hours, if both are guilty, do each separately. Do not leave wet too long, ie more than overnight, they might get mold.

Yep, I have a friend  who checks each stove knob on the kitchen stove, along with each electrical switch, before leaving his stick house.  When I say checks, I mean he physically touchs and turns them to the off position, each and every one, all through the house.  And yes, he is a combat Vietnam vet Jarhead.  Oh, he insist that he does not have anything wrong with him.

PatC, in your friends mind there is nothing wrong, it takes great courage to ask for help, ask me how I know, it took 37 years for me to ask for help, and yes from my side of the street there was nothing wrong, I was so wrong.

Bill,
I finally got him to go to VA and get a physical.  He was also doing for a interview for PTSD.  Don't know how well it worked out yet.  He has gone thru 5 marriages since Nam!  Still on the prowl, but says he prefers living alone.  His house is spotless!

Oh, me???  I'm VA rated and as nutty as they make them.  Like being a little crazy now!

Mitch,
There's a very easy fix to a maddening irregularity!
The rounded metal bars (that the day/night shade fabrics are slipped into) can become ever so slightly misaligned with the day/night shade fabric.  If you look closely at the two ends of each metal "carrier" bar, the ends may show differing amounts of "overhang" ( the metal bars are generally a fraction of an inch longer than the fabric is wide).  If you gently tug the fabrics back to a centered alignment on both the day and night shade bars, windows/bars and pleats will all line up for the most exacting of Captain's Inspections.
