Best way to clean an Onan Emerald III generator?
In solving my start problem today (see my other post) I discovered what appears to be the body of a large dead moth sticking out one of the cooling vents at the end of the generator. I also noticed that all the wiring, etc. inside the control box is covered with dust. I am afraid to use brake cleaner on that area as I am worried that it might affect the generator wiring. Can I use an air gun from my shop air or onboard air compressor to clean out the control panel area and the air vents? I can adjust the shop air pressure to less than the 150 psi that it puts out but I have no way to regulate the onboard air readily.
