Power Tech / Kubota PT 10 Finally Fixed

 :D :D :D  After almost a year of intermittent problems with my Power Tech PT 10 generator I have it running like new!! ;D It all started when the "Gen-Set" started getting hard to start. I thought it was the glow plugs or a relay that controlled the glow plugs. That problem grew into the Gen-Set only starting when the Boost Switch was engaged, after that the Gen-set would only run for 5 or 10 minutes and shut down as if it was out of fuel. At times there would be no problem and then at other times any one or a combination of problems would exist. The system became so unreliable that we cut our trip from Ohio to Florida from a 10 day  relaxing  sight seeing trip home, to a 2 day get home as fast as you can flight.  :(  Parked the Coach, plugged it in and for a month ignored it!  Then I started doing my research on this site and in the archives. I could not find anyone with a similar problem. Started to determine where my system was failing, I did a voltage test at the relay box on the top of th PT 10 (for 12 vdc) had good voltage until I engaged the starter then it voltage would drop off sharply. That's when I found the "black" corrosion on the stacked house battery terminals. Cleaned them up and then found out that the electric fuel pump on the Gen-Set was only working intermittently, replaced that and then read a recent post about the poor grounding system used between the Gen-Set and the roller tray, so I added an additional grounding strap from the Gen-Set directly to the sub-frame of the coach. 
 ;D ;D ;D Happy To Report All is Well!  Runs As Good As New  ;D ;D ;D      Now if I only could afford the fuel to run it  :))
