Problem: Water Fill and Onboard Water Pump.

This morning, as we disconnected the hose from our campsite in preparation for travel, there was a somewhat lengthy (6-8 seconds) noise that I can best describe as a chattering squeal.  We have recently had utility hose reel installed and a new variable speed water pump.  Things have been working very well, although in recent days I have seen the green light for the water pump fading off instead of just shutting off immediately when we turn off the pump.  Our normal practice is to fill our onboard tank and use the pump instead of using the campground supply and shutting the pump off if we are not at home.  After the interesting noise this morning, the water pump will no longer operate, nor will the water fill.  Mr. Mobil RV Repair man is coming to help tomorrow morning, but I would love some helpful info for him from my genius friends on this Forum.  We have the panel off in the utility bay and can not see any obvious loose wires.  I know there is a solenoid somewhere ... does anyone have any helpful info on logistics for this 1995 U320SE?

Could it be a check valve stuck closed on the opposite side of the reel.
