Removing the panel that holds the retarder and other switches.

I need to remove the panel that holds such various items as the Boost Switch and the two controls for our MCD shades.  I've never done this before.  I can see that I need to remove some screws.  That part I get.  But I am wondering if there is any particular way to do this or any warnings of things not to do?

Just remove the 8 screws (there are also two at the top of the panel) and you're inside.
