Low Mount for Rear Camera
Bride and I were discussing rear cameras today. She covets the backup camera system on her friend's Ford Explorer. It has color, an excellent picture, and "markers" to help guide the process of backing up. It is mounted relatively low on the vehicle and has a good view for the purpose.
Would a lower position for the rear camera on a coach work better than the high position? Who has tried a lower position for the back camera or other camera? Would a position a bit above the top of the towed vehicle be better than way up high? How about multi-camera systems? What about a movable camera or zoom lens?
I would be pleased to learn of the experiences of people who have actually tried alternatives to the standard camera system.
