Auto start

Guys, our coach is usually plugged in next to the garage, but I moved it away for awhile so yesterday the auto start function started the generator, now it is 8 hours later , and still running.. I thought it should shut down automatically after 8 hours.....where is the contrl unit on a 99 u320. And what are your thoughts..  When I got home last night, I did deselect auto, and the generator stopped, but as soon as I selected auto, it started right back up...... D

Howdy Dave,  On our '00 U320 the Auto-Start controller is located under the center console.  The top/lid (the part with the cup holders) is hinged and lifts up. The controller is located on the front side, mounted vertically.

One our 1997 U295 the autostart module is ... missing.

I was puzzled that I could never get it to work. I asked Wayne Musser at FOT to inspect it. He showed me where the wires had been cut and capped. The name of the unit was Genwizard. My recollection is that Wayne reported that people would remove them because they didn't work properly. I think one of the symptoms was to start and never stop.

Some people have recommend installing the Magnum AGS as a replacement. I haven't installed a replacement.
